Light-cured orthodontic adhesives have introduced an entirely new technique to the art of bonding brackets to teeth. This technique offers some unique advantages and conveniences when compared to self-cured adhesive by virtually eliminating:

• Limited working time and unreliability of permanance and difficulties in removal of excess adhesive.
• Discoloration-some self-curd adhesive show an unacceptable level of discoloration when exposed to the oral enviroment and /or sun light.
• Deterioration upon storage, especially at elevated temperatures;
• Dependance of curing time on ambient temperatures.

  Features :

• Virtually unlimited time for placement,adjustment and curing of all types of brackets.
• Fast cure from 20 to 60 second depending on light source and location.
• Easy to use and economical with almost no waste.
• Shelf life in excess of 3 years when stored at temperatures not exceeding 75 F (24C)
• Superior resistance to discoloration.

  Technique :
  Prophylaxis :
  Prophy the enamel surfaces to be bonded. Use prophy paste that does not contain oil or fluoride. Rinse thoroughly and dry teeth with oil-free air.
  Etch :
  Isolate the teeth with cotton rolls. Apply etching agent over the areas to be bonded. Allows 45 seconds for etching adult teeth and up to 90 seconds for etching deciduous teeth.
  Bonding :
  Re-isolate the teeth with cotton rolls. and apply a thin layer of the primer over the dry,etched area. Apply the paste over the bracket base. Plase the bracket on the tooth and press tightly against the tooth. Scale off the excess around the bracket base. Cure with light from any two edges for 20 to 30 seconds each.
  Bracket Removal :
  To remove, use a bond Removel Plier such as Optima Cat.The Action of the jaws wedging mesially and distally will easily separate the bracket from the tooth. Any access adhesive can be scaled off or easily removed with an Optima Remover Plier.

  Contents: For up to 1400 bonds –
  2 x 10 gram COLOR CHANGE ADHESIVE,
  Primer 8 grams,
  Etch 12 grams,
  accessories.
